Meraki Veterinary Wellness

Veterinary Services

We provide wellness-focused veterinary care for dogs and cats at every stage of life. Whether your pet needs a checkup, vaccines, diagnostics, imaging, or ongoing care, our team is here to listen, answer questions, and help you feel confident in the next step.

Whenever possible, we make every effort to provide care in the exam room with you present and involved. We believe pet parents should be part of the conversation, part of the care plan, and comfortable understanding what we are doing and why.

Puppy & Kitten Visits

Meraki Veterinary Wellness, Dog & Puppy Appointments, Golden Retriever

Welcoming a new puppy or kitten is exciting, and it can come with a lot of questions. Our puppy and kitten visits are designed to give your new pet a healthy, comfortable start while helping you feel confident in their care.

Each visit includes a complete physical exam, age-appropriate vaccines, parasite screening and prevention, nutrition guidance, and time to talk through behavior, training, socialization, and any concerns you may have. We will also help guide you through early decisions like microchipping, spay/neuter timing, and planning for long-term wellness.

Our goal is to make each visit calm, supportive, and informative so your puppy or kitten feels cared for and you leave with a clear plan for what comes next.

  • Physical exams, growth monitoring, and long-term wellness planning

  • Puppy and kitten vaccines, vaccine schedule guidance, and parasite prevention

  • Fecal testing, deworming guidance, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention

  • Nutrition, behavior, training, socialization, and litter box or house training support

  • Microchip recommendations and spay/neuter timing guidance

Wellness Visits

Meraki Veterinary Wellness, Cat & Kitten Appointments

At Meraki Veterinary Wellness, wellness visits are calm, personal, and collaborative. We believe pet parents should be part of their pet’s care, so your dog or cat stays with you throughout the visit whenever possible — not routinely taken away to a back room.

These visits give us the chance to listen, answer your questions, perform a thorough physical exam, and look for subtle changes before they become bigger problems. From vaccines and prevention to nutrition, dental health, mobility, behavior, and early screening, we work with you to build a care plan that fits your pet’s needs.

Our goal is simple: to help your pet feel safe, help you feel heard, and keep them healthy and comfortable for as long as possible.

  • Thorough physical exams with your pet staying by your side whenever possible

  • Time to discuss your questions, concerns, and goals for your pet

  • Personalized vaccines, parasite prevention, and lifestyle-based recommendations

  • Guidance on nutrition, weight, dental health, behavior, mobility, and comfort

  • Early screening and monitoring to help identify subtle changes before they become bigger problems

  • A collaborative care plan built with you, not just for you

Senior Care Visits

Meraki Veterinary Wellness, Senior Dog Care Appointments

As pets age, their needs can change in subtle ways — avoiding car rides, hesitating to jump on the bed or countertop, sleeping more, moving differently, or simply not acting quite like themselves. At Meraki Veterinary Wellness, our senior pet visits focus on comfort, mobility, early detection, and quality of life.

We take the time to listen to what you are noticing at home, perform a thorough physical exam, and talk through changes in behavior, appetite, weight, dental health, mobility, and overall comfort. Our goal is to identify concerns early, manage chronic conditions thoughtfully, and help you feel informed and supported as your pet ages.

If your pet has difficulty getting in or out of the car, walking into the clinic, or moving comfortably, please contact us before your visit. We are happy to help make the appointment easier and safer for both you and your pet.

  • Comprehensive senior wellness exams and comfort assessments

  • Bloodwork, urine testing, and screening for age-related conditions

  • Arthritis, mobility, nutrition, and weight management support

  • Dental health evaluation and chronic disease monitoring

  • Quality-of-life conversations and ongoing care planning

Vaccines & Prevention

Meraki Veterinary Wellness, Cat & Kitten Appointments

Preventive care is one of the best ways we can help your pet live a longer, healthier, and more comfortable life. At Meraki Veterinary Wellness, vaccines are an important part of that care, but prevention goes beyond vaccines. We also use wellness bloodwork, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing, fecal screening, parasite prevention, and thorough physical exams to help catch concerns early — often before your pet is showing obvious signs at home.

We take the time to understand your pet’s age, lifestyle, environment, and health history so we can recommend care that fits their individual needs. Whether your pet is outdoors often, visits boarding or grooming facilities, travels with you, or mostly stays close to home, we will walk you through what is recommended and why.

  • Core and lifestyle-based vaccines, including rabies, leptospirosis, Lyme, Bordetella, and other vaccines when appropriate

  • Puppy and kitten vaccine series, adult boosters, and ongoing protection through each life stage

  • Wellness bloodwork, heartworm testing, tick-borne disease screening, fecal testing, and intestinal parasite screening

  • Flea, tick, heartworm, and intestinal parasite prevention based on your pet’s lifestyle and risk

  • Personalized recommendations with clear explanations so you feel informed and involved in your pet’s care

Imaging & Diagnostics

Meraki Veterinary Wellness, Dog & Puppy Appointments, Golden Retrievers

Every pet, every family, and every situation is different. At Meraki Veterinary Wellness, we understand that diagnostic testing is not one-size-fits-all. Our goal is never to overwhelm you or recommend testing just for the sake of testing. Instead, we are here to explain your options, talk through what each test may help us learn, and build a plan that makes sense for your pet and your family.

We offer a range of in-clinic diagnostics, including bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing, ear and skin cytology, lump checks, and testing for common concerns like ear infections, skin infections, urinary issues, vomiting, diarrhea, allergies, weight changes, lethargy, and chronic disease monitoring. When more advanced testing is needed, we partner with trusted reference laboratories and universities to provide more comprehensive answers.

Our imaging services include digital X-rays, diagnostic ultrasound, and echocardiograms. When appropriate, X-rays can also be reviewed by a veterinary radiologist for added insight. These tools allow us to look deeper when needed, whether we are evaluating the chest, abdomen, bones, joints, internal organs, heart function, abnormal lab work, senior pet changes, or ongoing health concerns.

  • In-clinic lab testing, including bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, heartworm and tick-borne disease screening

  • Ear, skin, urinary, allergy, infection, and lump evaluation, including cytology and biopsy guidance when appropriate

  • Advanced testing through trusted reference laboratories and university partners

  • Digital X-rays with radiologist review when needed

  • Diagnostic ultrasound and echocardiograms/heart ultrasound

  • Support for common illnesses, chronic disease monitoring, and senior pet care

Dental & Surgery Care

Meraki Veterinary Wellness, Cat & Kitten Appointments

Dental care and surgery can feel overwhelming, and we believe families deserve honest guidance before making those decisions. At Meraki Veterinary Wellness, we offer dentistry, dental x-rays, and minor surgery in-house, while helping you understand what your pet needs, what your options are, and what level of care makes the most sense.

For more involved surgeries or advanced dental cases, we partner with trusted clinics that are equipped for those procedures. That does not mean you are on your own — we help guide the process, communicate with our referral partners, and support your pet’s care before and after the procedure.

  • Dental exams, cleanings, and dental x-rays

  • Dental extractions, when appropriate

  • Minor surgery and mass removals

  • Wound care and minor outpatient procedures

  • Surgical guidance, referrals, and follow-up support

Quality of life care may include pain management, mobility support, appetite changes, chronic disease management, and helping you understand what your pet may be experiencing. When the time comes to discuss end-of-life care, we are here to answer questions, talk through options, and help you make the choice that feels right for your pet and your family.

  • Quality of life assessments

  • Pain and mobility support

  • Senior and chronic disease comfort care

  • Guidance for difficult end-of-life decisions
